The focus of our Clifton Park Taekwondo School is on character development, physical fitness and self-defense, rather than fighting. Our overarching goal is to build our student's self-esteem though our Award Winning Taekwondo School.
As soon as you become a Taekwondo student at Adirondack Taekwondo, you join a community that works together towards:
and most importantly, increased self-confidence. In addition, with the explosion of social media and online games, we also emphasize the development of social, interpersonal, and anti-bullying skills that are so critical to success in life.
It can be challenging at times and we see our job as helping our Taekwondo students become more competent in dealing with some of today's challenges.
At ADIRONDACK Taekwondo no one sits on the bench. We offer Taekwondo programs for all ages, but our specialty is working with children and families.
For children, our emphasis is on character development, social skills, and physical fitness.
For adults, we focus on the mental and physical benefits of Taekwondo and the martial arts, including:
Self-defense is a component of all martial arts training, no matter what style (e.g. Karate, Taekwondo, Kung-Fu, Jiu jitsu). Certainly, that's the case at Adirondack Taekwondo. However, we always balance that with instruction on personal safety awareness, anti-bullying skills, and seeking alternatives to conflict.
For us at Adirondack Taekwondo, the practice of Taekwondo means respecting each other, encouraging and supporting each other, and celebrating each other's successes.
Our professional Taekwondo instructors are expertsat teaching the physical elements of our sport and art, they're alsocommitted to developing the whole-person potential of each student instilling that same commitment among all our students.
We hope you become a student at ADIRONDACK Taekwondo. 518.373.0442
